First time ever in July! Golden Flourish sketches contest for the topic: "Jeans. City Style"
On February 16 through 19, 2011 within the frames of KYIV FASHION festival, the 4th annual contest of outer wear sketches - Golden Flourish - was held. This time, the sketches of the ready wear collections of 25 designers from Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Lutsk, as well as from Russia, were represented at the contest, all united by the topic "Youth wear. City style". Professional jury of the contest consisted of the fashion industry professionals from Ukraine, Russia and Farance. The totals of the contest, as well as winners awarding ceremony, took place on February 19, 2011.
All contest participants and winners were awarded with contest certificates, received valuable prizes and presents from the long-term partners of the contest - Infinum TM, as well as from the contest organizer - Kyiv International Contract Fair, Ltd. The awarding ceremony was held by Yana Cherniavska, the director of KYIV FASHION festival, and Olga Kalashnikova, head of the contest jury, candidate of art criticism, associate professor of the Chair of Costume Design of St.Petersburg State Academy of Industry and Art named after A.L. Schtieglitz (St.Petersburg, Russia).

Kateryna Cherevata, "Scythian's soul" sketch - the 2nd prize
Nataliia Trofimova, "Effervescence" sketch - the 3rd prize
 
Olga Marino - designer, Deputy Head of the Designers Union of Ukraine, Honorary Artist of Ukraine, laureat of professional award "Ukrainian National Olimp", awarded the sketches of "Columba livia" (Iryna Minaieva) and "Effervescence" (Nataliia Trofimova) with special diplomas from the Designers Union of Ukraine.
During the winners awarding ceremony, the jury head and honorary guest of the festival, Olha Kalashnikova, summed up the contest results, analyzing the represented art works in the light of modern requirements and tendencies of fashion buisness. The participants of the contest had a possibility to get individual consultations and recommendations on the directions of their creative potential development.
